Too Many Men - Skepta
New years eve was a pretty simple, yet really fun day, apart from going to work. We closed the shop early and I had a walk round town taking in the atmosphere and excitement of all the lights, snow and parade that was just starting off by Monument. I got to the bus stop and peered through the closed gates at Central Arcade. I was listening to My Heart To Joy on my ipod and lost all track of time til I realised how long the bus had been. This creepy guy told me alot of the roads were shut due to the Parade that had just started so I gave it a few more minutes but the bus was still a no show. So I walked up towards the 63 stop at the bottom of Northumberland Street and headed home. The traffic was chaos with the closed roads and everyone trying to get home as soon as possible. I finally got back and opened up a bottle of Ale Sarah's Dad got me for Christmas. We chilled in the house for a while before we went to Guildford Manor for the party. I remember having a sweet night with all my friends and playing that Skepta song over and over but the majority of it is a complete blur, Kinchley stayed over at our house and we had a nice smoke to send us to sleep. Note to self, never ever let Claire make cup's of tea again.

Giving My Hands Away - My Heart To Joy
Today I went to work, I was late AGAIN, I still dont care, only two shifts left til I get laid off anyway. I should probably start looking for a new job really soon and stop being so slack. I treat myself to Pizza Hut Express on my dinner break, I cant actually handle any more Greggs cheese pasties or any of the Boots meal deal crap anymore. All iv wanted to do the past few days is go skateboarding. Gonna have to get a session sorted soon as. So afterwork I met up with Sarah for a few mins to pick up some supplies for the house. She waited with me for the bus and I headed home while she went to meet up with her Auntie and Cousins for a Pantomine. I got back, showered and headed over to Guildford Manor again, We had a smoke and watched CKY 4. I forgot how much I hate Bam Margera. Headed home a while later, chilled with Sarah, Natty and Amy. Cooked some food, watched the rest of the Auf Wiedersehen Pet DVD and went to sleep.

Cross The T's And Dot The Lower Case J's - Axolotl
Woke up early for work again today, only had a 4 hour shift which flew over pretty quick. Met up with Lafferty, Dan and Kinch. We had a walk around town, hit up some shops and I got a sweet new Lazy Oaf shirt. We walked back to heaton, I cant believe the ground is still this icy. We hit up the shop next to Laff's house and iI picked up some cheap energy drink called "Hell", the name described perfectly how it tasted. Anyway, we ended up at Laff's and enjoyed a quick smoke before I headed home to meet Sarah. We had another good talk and I feel we got a lot of the problems from yesterday sorted. I feel a lot happier now anyway. We got ready and headed to the cluny to meet Laff and people for the Onsind show. We turned up a bit late and only caught the last two Onsind songs. The steps from Byker Bridge down to the Cluny were a nightmate, it took us ages to get down due to the ice. Anyway the second band, Gullich, were pretty rad, they were so tight and the guy who played guitar in Jinn was in them, I enjoyed so much more whilst drinking a cup of tea (I dont get why the girl at the bar thought it was so funny we ordered tea). We stepped outside to have a smoke before the next band started and I talked to Philnoy who I hadn't seen in a while. The third band, Retreiver began to play, I was quite disappointed with them, maybe they were just having an off night, but I wasnt feeling it. We got a taxi home, watched some BBC iPlayer and went to sleep.

Seasons In Verse - My Heart To Joy
Today I woke up made a cup of tea, ate a full packet of chocolate fingers and did a shitload of house work whilst blasting tunes. I chilled for a bit til the electricity cut off and headed over to Laff's. We had a good smoke, ate some christmas chocolate and watched the Kiss "Second Coming" DVD. I headed back home to meet Sarah after it'd finished, I knew she wasnt happy with me and when I got home we talked about serious stuff for quite a long time. We cheered up a bit and watched the Royle Family Christmas special on the BBC iPlayer and I put some Linda McCartney pies and chips in the oven. We fell asleep listening to Algernon Cadwallader. Todays photo is of Phil I took on boxing day.

A Story In Three Acts - ONSIND
Today started with a nice lie in followed by scrambled eggs on toast and a cup of tea. Didnt really do much all morning. Just hung out with my Mam and brother. In the afternoon I headed back up to Heaton, dropped all my gear off home and walked the icy road to Laffertys house. I was greeted by a load of familiar faces and a room packed with crisps, chocolate, weed and irn bru. It was a real treat. We exchanged gifts played a bit too much ball in a cup and smoked the day away. I left to meet Sarah back home, we sat and talked about our christmas' drank some tea then headed back over to Guildford Manor. We left pretty late on and picked up a Pizza on the way home. We started watching "Couples Retreat" but both fell asleep. I really really enjoyed boxing day this year, good times with the raddest people! Cant believe how many people brought Irn Bru round. Couldnt have asked for anything more. Oh and I ordered the My Heart To Joy 12" and shirt just before I went to bed last night. So thats another reason to get my record player fixed.

Breath Wish - Algernon Cadwallader
So, Christmas Day. I was awoke this morning by a good few "Merry Christmas" texts from friends at around 8am, I was real tired but couldnt get back to sleep due to the freezing cold breeze blowing on my face from the window above my head. Then out of the blue, Mam decided it was time to get up. Me and Paul both discussed how tired we were and how we didnt wanna get up from across the landing while Mam was downstairs sorting out presents with the kitchen radio on. I eventually sleepwalked down the stairs shortly followed by my little brother. We gave out presents and opened our own, did the whole Merry Christmas thing and drank cups of tea. We rang Grandma in London to wish her the best and for her to enjoy the rest of her time down there. Then I rang Sarah to see how her day had started out. Shortly after, Paul and myself got ready for Dad coming to pick us up. We drove over to Byker to firstly visit Aunty Olive and Uncle Joe followed by a visit to Aunty Joan. It was really good to see everyone again, It felt like it'd been way to long. Dad dropped us back off at Mams for dinner. I love the extra effort my Mam puts in to make me a Veggie dinner, Shes awesome! So dinner ruled, and we chilled late into the afternoon. Then I headed over to see Joe, Kaite and Roscoe. Brett and Chloe were there too, We talked for a bit and watched some TV, Daz and Danni came round briefly but they had to get back to heaton as they'd brought there new puppy round to say "Hi" and needed to get him settled into their home. We ordered a sweet Indian takeaway because were all so into the Traditional, British, Christmas Day bullshit, Drank some beers, smoked some weed and then I headed back over to Mams. I made a brew and im dipping in chocolate fingers. Think il watch some of Pauls new Family Guy DVD and hit the hay.
So all in all Christmas day turned out pretty good, it beat the shit outta last year, I wasnt at work, I saw friends and family and im super stoked for the Boxing Day session at Lafferty's house tomorrow.
Oh yeah, the photo is the first thing I saw this morning when I looked out the window. There was snow on the ground and a sun in the sky. Couldnt really have asked for anything more. Killingworth, you rule!
Peace.

Collision - Saves The Day
Woke up early for my Christmas Eve shift at work. Me & Sarah decided to exchange gifts today as were not gonna be together tomorrow. She got methe sickest slippers ever. I think my hours of stressing paid off as she seemed pretty happy with what I got her. Either shes genuinly pleased or she's great at acting. We both got the bus to work together and said our goodbyes at Greys Monument. Foxy was sitting at the window of Starbucks having a pre-work coffee and I gave him a cheeky wave. Work was such a stress, pretty busy with people rushing off the last of their Christmas shopping and there was only a handful of us actually pulling our weight. Im really looking forward to leaving and fingers crossed il find a job im happier doing and more suited to. After the nightmare of work I met back up with Sarah and we got the bus home, We listened to Saves the Day as we packed our bags to spend the next two nights with our families. Mam picked me up and brought me to Killingworth. She made me an awesome vegetarian quiche and we watched "Gran Torino". I cant remember the last time I watched a film with my Mam, but i enjoyed it. She seemed to too, We very rarely spend time together these days. Paul came in a while later and we played on his xbox for a bit, We talked and just generally caught up with each other which was also really nice. Im quite looking forward to tomorrow. I Get to see my Aunty Joan who I havent seen for months and also Aunty Olive and Uncle Joe who I probably havent seen since last Christmas. Im ending the day drinking Ribena, watching American Dad and scraping the remains of the cheese and chive dip out with breadsticks. Iv just ordered the new Algernon Cadwallader 7" from the Be Happy Records site too. Stoked for that coming. That reminds me, I need to fix my record player.

Coming Clean - The Get Up Kids
Work / Dragged / Blaah! I finished and met up with John and Dan in town to finish off our Christmas shopping. We did a pretty good job except Dan spends way to long picking wrapping paper, I think he plays up to being a right evil little bastard but I deep down he's a complete pussy. Dan headed home and Me and John pretty much ice skated to Laffertys, we got Dhesi Grill pizza and Irn Bru from Ricky's on the way. I also picked up a fortune cookie which told me i'd have a better relationships with my co-workers, I find that so hard to believe to be honest. Our relationships better improve pretty soon as my last shift is on the 2nd Jan. Anyway we arrived at Laff's, listened to some tunes, watched some videos and wrote a letter to Michael Barrymore. Nixon came round to sort the weed out for the Boxing Day session. Cant wait for it. I headed home to chill with Sarah and got Amy and Rachel to wrap up her presents since I still, after 21 years cant wrap for shit. Christmas Eve tomorrow, it feels really nice to be stoked on Christmas again after being a miserable fuck last year. Todays photo is another French one, because that zine is fucking sick!

Frisky Business - Daggermouth
Sarah woke me up at stupid oclock this morning, something like 6am too grab the gas card so she could put money on when she finished work. Anyway I fell back to sleep pretty fast and woke a few hours later to make a veggie bacon sandwich and a cup of tea. I had a shower then got the No.1 to work, I was late again, and again, not really bothered. Im so over this job, the work itself is ok, but the majority of the people (permanent staff) are quite simply, cunts! Work seemed to drag forever even though we were really busy. Its just gettin way too repetitive. Still haven't found out if theyre keeping me on after xmas. Anyway, I got the bus home at 8pm, ran across the grass again to catch the bus, there was a little less snow today though. I arrived home and Sarah was cooking us Sheperds pie, I felt a bit like we were some middle aged, married couple but the food was rad. We watched a bit more of David Attenboroughs "Life", I seriously love that guy. Then I took a bath. Me and Sarah have chilled since. Today wasnt to exciting really. Pay day tomorrow though, Stoked! Need to start my Christmas shopping, Not stoked!
Im listening to Cap'n Jazz again right now, Kinsella bands are sick!

The Chandelier Swing - Braid
I'd been looking forward to today for quite sometime. Me and Sarah took her two little cousins Ellen and Jess to see "Where The Wild Things Are" at The Gate in town. It was freezing cold waiting for the bus. It never ceases to amaze me how the world just seems to fall to pieces when theres snow on the ground, Over careful car drivers crawl up and down the roads, people walk with far too much caution and public transport doesnt seem to exist (or at least from your side of the road). Anyway the film was rad, Sarah bought popcorn, Jess was sick in the cinema which I though was hilarious after I stopped worrying about her, the smell was terrible and im pretty sure she ruined the film for the people sitting a few rows in front, Awesome times! We took her to primark after the film to get some new clean non-vomit covered pants. I then said my goodbyes and hopped on the bus to Killingworth to visit my family. The bus got annihilated by kids with snowballs, The first thing that came to my head was "Fuck me, kids are evil little bastards!" Then i thought, "You know what, being a kid is awesome" I thought back to the shit we did with snow last night and smiled to myself. I love how doing the dumbest shit brings the biggest sense of adventure to the mind of a kid. I felt slightly like that last night, I hadnt felt that way in a years. Im pleased it came back, even if it was only for a short time. I arrived at my first stop, Mams house, brews were drank and Mam made some food. I chilled for a bit then left for stop #2 Grandma's house. It was nice to see her, it'd been a while. This is also the last time il see her this year with her heading down to London for Christmas and new year. Finally I hit up my Dads, good craic, we watched some TV then I got the bus back up home. Me and Sarah chilled with some nachos and watched "Weird Science". I still cant believe iv never seen it before, Really enjoyed it. Im ending the day listening to Cap'n Jazz.
Pump Fake - Snowing
First off, I forgot to mention the Fortune Cookie I bought from Rickys' shop on the way to Laffs on Friday. My fortune read "Happy news is on its way to you." Stoked! So anyway I think I crawled out of bed around 9.20am yesterday morning. Wasnt really too hungry so I skipped the breakfast and just headed straight for a much needed shower, the only towel I could find was cold and damp so getting dry afterwards wasnt too good. I successfully made it to work on time, still opted for the 63 bus but it worked out and I keyed in 5 mins early. I met Foxy for a bit on my dinner break to talk about the new band were starting, I got Falaffel from Boots which was a treat. The rest of work dragged on and on. When the clock hit 5pm I was straight outta there. I stepped outside to be met by the biggest snowflakes I'd seen in years, It was so cold but I was in a sweet mood. The bus was already at the stop so I ran over the grass to catch it. I was greeted back home with a warm room and Saves the Day playing out loud. Sarah got out the shower and I made us fried egg sandwiches except mine had veggie bacon in and loads of tomato sauce. I rule at making shit food. Sarah was going for her work night out so I got the No.1 bus with her to Heaton road on my way to Laffs. When I arrived Laff, John and Nate were there. We went outside for a bit and threw snowballs around. I went to the shop with John and picked up another Fortune Cookie, this one read "You are heading for a place of sunshine. You will always have good luck in your personal affairs" Which is pretty much a 2 in 1. As Nate left Nixon turned up, We smoked some weed then had a sick snowball fight, I felt like a total kid again. Laff, Nixon and John walked through the snow to German Geroges, I went back home to meet Marshy and get him his hoody back. We all headed back to Chris'. We ordered some London (irnXcru) pizza's, I got a free garlic bread with cheese.Kinchley turned up just in time to finish off the last few slices. Later on and everyone headed to town. Me, Innes' and his mate Ben from leeds stayed home had a smoke, drank coke and watch Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Sarah picked me up in her taxi on the way home from town. She was a drunken mess. Innes' leant me his weird science dvd.

Can I Borrow Your Copy Of "Hey Soul Classics?" - Pswingset
Today was an early start, I had work at 9am. I think I rolled out of bed at 8.21am, threw my clothes on and left the house. Outside was covered in snow and ice, needless to say it was a pretty cold walk up the street to the bus stop. The 63 bus was late again, making me key in at work at 9.06am, But I didnt really care, I enjoyed listening to Algernon on the way. Im gonna ride the No.1 in tomorrow, maybe il get there on time. Work wasnt too bad, 5 hour shift as standard. When I finished I was met outside by Laff and Nixon, we headed to Laff's house drank tea, smoked some weed and listened to music. Innes', John, Kinchley, and Sally turned up later on. I left to meet Sarah around 9ish when she finished work. We got home we made pasta and a garlic baguette's. I listened to some music while Sarah wrapped some christmas presents and I found this rad pop punk band called "Crucial Kids" on myspace, I only checked them for the name and they turned out to be pretty good. After, we watched some of David Attenborough's "Life" it had Komodo Dragons on, I was stoked. I have work at 11am tomorrow, hopefully I can get up earlyish to make some sweet breakfast, Theres still some maple syrup left.Plans for 2010:
1. Be more positive.
2. Eat healthy.
3. Get up early, stop wasting days in bed.
